His work considers photography as both a record and a means of connection, tracing the people, rituals, environments, and everyday moments that shape the global Black experience. Through an approach grounded in observation and cultural exchange, Adewale creates images that move between the personal and collective, preserving stories across communities, borders, and generations.
His photography has been exhibited in London, Los Angeles, New York, and Washington, D.C., and his creative practice has included collaborations with AwakeNY, Patta, Jordan Brand, Nike, Boiler Room, and .waf.
Adewale is the founder and curator of Nommo House, a Washington, D.C.-based arts platform creating exhibitions, public programs, and opportunities for emerging and underrepresented artists. Through Nommo House, his practice has expanded beyond image-making into exhibition-making and cultural programming, bringing contemporary art into conversation with design, fashion, music, publishing, and community.
He is currently studying Documentary Practice and Visual Journalism at the International Center of Photography (ICP), continuing his exploration of photography as a tool for memory, archive, and cultural record.
